When we have oil left over after cooking, we always wonder how to dispose of it properly. However, there is a method that not everyone knows about and that, moreover, does not damage the kitchen drain: using aluminium foil in the shape of a cup. How does it work?
The trick was shared by an influencer on her TikTok account and surprised everyone.
First, you can see that she cut two large pieces of aluminium foil and placed them in the kitchen sink, over the drain. Then, she took a cup and moulded the foil into that shape, creating a kind of container, which she placed back over the drain.
Once ready, she poured all the used oil into the foil mould and added two paper napkins to absorb the product. At the same time, she used another napkin to clean the remains left in the pan so that she could wash it without any problems.
In the last step, she pressed the open surface of the mould to close it and throw it in the bin with the napkins inside.
Her video quickly went viral on social media, where she received hundreds of comments and some people criticised her for the technique she chose. ‘You’re wasting a fortune on aluminium foil and napkins,’ ‘In the end, you’re using more resources and making the same mess,’ some wrote.
